Play a Quick Game or take some time and complete a Hunting Trip. A Quick Game consists of four rounds: 3 hunting rounds and a bonus round where you shoot at squirrels, rabbits, or prairie dogs. A Hunting Trip is a deeper experience in which you must hunt the five largest animals in the location in order to unlock the next stage in the game.
As you complete hunts, you earn points that can be used to improve your hunting skills. Learn the skill levels behind each weapon and which are less likely to frighten the other animals. Tag an animal to see its statistics on the GPS map--this will help you to avoid the less valuable kills and concentrate on the heavier animals. Discover which animals to take aim on--shooting a male deer will get you points but shooting a doe will earn you nothing. Additional gameplay mechanics include:

The animals notice you after a while even if you do not shoot, so take aim and fire
Animals may not be obvious at first: they might be in the distance, or hiding behind cover
Points are added for using weapons with obvious disadvantages, like the black powder gun and the compound bow
Hunting with automatic weapons is against the law so you won't earn points for using the AK-47, but it is certainly fun!
Try not to leave any wounded animals alive at the end of the Hunting Trip or you will be penalized
